Mid-Year Customer Survey - 2026

Our goal at ATD Supply is simple: to create the products you need to carry better, whether you're traveling, commuting, hanging out, or all of the above. To help us achieve that, every year around the middle of the year we will open an anonymous survey to ask what you'd like to see from us the following year. Your feedback allows us to review your ideas, see how they align with our current plans, adjust our roadmap where needed, work with our suppliers, and design or refine new products in time for the next year. The seven questions cover a wide range of topics: colors, fabric options, new products, improvements to existing products, our communication, and any general feedback you'd like to...

Updated prices and products available for preorders.

As explained in depth in our journal's last note, the production of many ATD Supply products was recently moved in the far east, Indonesia in this case. These products are now in a container, sailing toward our base in Italy where they are expected within July 15th.I know that many companies are now sending updates about all their prices being increased, due to the undeniably complex geopolitical situation that is affecting international supply chains: i'm happy to go against this trend and announce some increases and some more decreases.Speaking about the increases, a bunch of smaller webbing accessories prices had to be increased due to an increase in raw materials and parts. Building ATD Supply for the Long Run: what has to change and what stays the same.

This is longer than our usual ones, but it covers changes ATD Supply operations that i felt needed to be shared with customers and followers. Thank you for taking the time to read it.The correct markup: a necessary obsession. I primarily started designing bags because I am a gear nerd and have been obsessed with adventure equipment since I was a kid. Plus, I’m presumptuous enough to think I’ve figured out how to make a couple of things work a little better compared to what was available, and that my design choices could have made travel and carry in general better for some users. These were undeniably the first drivers, but they could no longer be the most important ones once...

USA Tariffs: announced, introduced, withdrawn. Future challenges and the perfect time to gear up.

On April 2nd, US Government officially introduced tariffs on imported goods, directly impacting ATD Supply operations, together with its sales to US-based customers. After a few days, tariffs toward EU (including Italy) were withdrawn and are now suspended for 90 days, making our bags tariff-free for US-based customers as they were before, but the damage was already done: they didn't even need to be actually introduced to influence markets, since just announcing them weeks before was enough to make sales fall and make some raw materials prices increase. This isn't the best place to discuss if a global free market is the best system or not, nor to determine if the distortions it can generate are a fair price to pay for...

ATD1 and ATD2 backpacks updated and now available for preorders (plus some accessories!)

For the first time, we are able to drop both packs at once.
ATD1 6th production run will ship next week. The pack is well tested and trusted by thousands of travelers out there: there's not so much to change anymore in its design, but we still managed to adjust distance between shoulder straps to make the pack more comfortable even for smaller frame people.
ATD2 2nd production run will ship in late January 2025, featuring a less slanted, redesigned bottom, angled shoulder straps for improved fit and load lifters for a more efficient load management when fully loaded. The new ATD tonal embroidery provides an even more subtle branding.
For both packs:- Side Compression straps are now removable when they are not needed. - Front compartment organization is simplified, with...
